Grandview girls basketball star Sienna Betts named Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year

Grandview junior Sienna Betts was named Colorado’s Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, it was announced Thursday morning. The 6-foot-4 forward won the award after averaging 22.5 points, 15.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 3.3 blocks and 2.2 steals for the Wolves, who reached the Class 6A Sweet 16 after winning back-to-back titles her freshman and sophomore years. Betts carries a 4.33 grade-point average, volunteers for the Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House, and assists at youth basketball camps.
