In Memoriam: FDU Remembers Original Knight Sam Convissor

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - FDU men's basketball and the Fairleigh Dickinson University community mourn the passing of original Knight Sam Convissor, a member of the first-ever FDU men's basketball team from 1949-53. Convissor passed award Wednesday, March 13. He was 93. A former Knights men's basketball team captain, Convissor dedicated his life to civic service and was a member of the FDU Board of Trustees. A New Jersey native, Convissor was presented the FDU Alumni Trustees Award and enshrined a member of the University's Pinnacle Society.
