Huskies Lose NCAA Heartbreaker in Double OT
COLUMBUS, OHIO - The UConn women's hockey team saw their season come to a close on Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, losing a heartbreaking double overtime decision to Minnesota Duluth at Ohio State. UMD's Mannon McMahon scored the game-winner at 17:13 in the second overtime to send the Bulldogs on to the regional final against top-seeded Ohio State on Saturday. UConn goaltender Tia Chan made 48 saves in taking the loss while UMD's Eve Gascon turned away all 33 shots she faced for the shutout win.
