GREENVILLE, S.C. (BVM) – One of the best players in the Southern Conference is looking for greener pastures. Furman senior Marcus Foster entered his name into the transfer portal on Friday. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists over 24 games, all starts, for the Paladins this season earning second-team All-SoCon honors.

Foster played a key role for a Furman squad that won the SoCon regular season and tournament championship last season and upset No. 4 seed Virginia in the NCAA Tournament’s opening round. During that contest, Foster scored the second-most points for the Paladins while finishing third on the team in rebounds.
