PIAA 6A girls basketball: Parkland advances with win over defending state champs

The Parkland girls basketball team advanced to the PIAA 6A semifinals with a 48-37 win over defending state champion Archbishop Carroll on Friday night at Pottstown High School. Talia Zurinskas led the Trojans with 23 points while Madi Siggins added 16. Parkland moves on to play Cardinal O’Hara on Monday at a site and time to be determined. Cardinal O’Hara defeated Perkiomen Valley 49-35 in another quarterfinal game. This story will be updated.
