Winston-Salem State University Mourns the Passing of Jonathon Nimmons

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – C.E. Gaines Hall of Fame Football Player Jonathon Nimmons passed away Friday, March 8 in Reidsville, North Carolina. Inducted into the C.E. Gaines Hall of Fame in 2008, Nimmons played on WSSU's football team in 1980 and earned the prestigious status of four-year letterman through his performance on and off the field. He was All-CIAA, All-NAIA and All-American his junior year. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church. For the full obituary: Click here
