Women’s Basketball Falls in Final Seconds to Belmont in MVC Quarterfinals

MOLINE, Ill. (March 15, 2024) – The No. 7 seed UIC women's basketball team (18-15, 10-10 MVC) nearly held off No. 2 Belmont (25-7, 17-3 MVC) in the quarterfinal round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament (Hoops in the Heartland) before falling in the closing seconds Friday night inside Vibrant Arena at The MARK in Moline, Ill., 70-65.
