Track teams open outdoor season at Emory

SEWANEE, Tenn. – A small number of Sewanee track and field members competed this weekend at the Emory Spring Classic at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., opening the outdoor track and field season. Freshman Jimmy Holmes posted a time of 23.63 in the 200-meters while sophomore Gavin Stallings posted a time of 24.35. In the 400-meters Holmes crossed the finish line in 53.06 and Stallings in 53.82. Sophomore Sam Leonard posted a time of 2:04.89 in the 800-meters Freshman Stevie Mack recorded a mark of 107-feet, 9.5-inches in the discus and junior Stephen Goetze collected a mark of 139-feet, 6.5-inches...
