Cardinals Receive Bid for Inaugural Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament

BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University's women's basketball team will continue their season as they were selected as one of 32 teams to play in the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament. The Cardinals will fly up to Pullman, Wash., to take on one of the number one seeds in the Washington State Cougars of the PAC-12. The WBIT Selection Show was streamed on NCAA.com and the Cardinals had to wait 10 slots before their name was announced under WSU.
