GC women’s tennis team off to best start since 2011-12 with pair of spring break wins

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Grinnell College’s women’s tennis team is off to its best start since the 2011-12 season by claiming a pair of matches to open its spring break schedule Monday. Grinnell, 14-1 on the year, beat Frostburg State University 6-1 and The College of Wooster 8-1. Singles winners against Frostburg State were Irene Agusti ’24 at No. 1 (6-3, 6-3), Paige Sargent ’26 at No. 2 (6-4, 6-7, 1-0), Isa Voinescu ’26 at No. 4 (7-6, 6-3), Pari Chavan ’27 at No. 5 (6-1, 6-0) and Nichole Henning ’26 at No. 6 (6-0, 6-1).
