BIDDEFORD, Maine — As a result of the funds generated through the 16th Annual Lax-4-Life events in the October, the University of New England lacrosse programs have donated a record-amount of $6,682 to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The fall invitational event was originally started back in 2007 by former men’s coach, Jon Hunt. Current men’s coach Charlie Burch took over and has kept it going since 2013, and the women’s program joined the efforts in 2014 under former women’s coach Sue Estabrook.
