Archer Wins Texas Cup, Comets Second

DESOTO, Texas – UT Dallas senior Davis Archer was the top finisher at the Texas Cup, while the #14 Comets placed second at Thorntree Country Club Tuesday. Archer shot an impressive -5 with a 71-69-71=211. His 54-hole tally is tied for the fifth-lowest in program history. It was also Archer’s first tournament victory. Sophomore Tyler Durden took runner-up honors with a 72-72-69=213 (-3). Both Archer and Durden were named to the All-Tournament Team.
