CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women's basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather met with media on Tuesday ahead of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). Cincinnati (14-17) has received a first-round bye in the WNIT and will play the winner of Purdue Fort Wayne (21-12) and Eastern Kentucky (22-11) in the second round. Date, time and location will be determined after the first round. The Bearcats are making their 14th postseason appearance and first since 2019. Cincinnati will be playing in the WNIT for the ninth time and holds a 5-8 all-time record.
