Softball’s Mary Yori Earns 900th Career Win in Sweep of Peru State
Lincoln, Neb.- Nebraska Wesleyan softball swept Peru State on Wednesday afternoon. Head Coach Mary Yori earned her 900th career victory in the Prairie Wolves’ 3-1 game one victory. Nebraska Wesleyan picked up a 9-5 victory in game two to extend its winning streak to eight games. GAME ONE HOW IT HAPPENED After two scoreless innings, a Val Gerlach RBI single gave Nebraska Wesleyan a 1-0 lead in the third. In the fourth inning, the Prairie Wolves gained a 2-0 advantage courtesy of a Hanna Roth RBI double. Taylor Korecky gave NWU a 3-0 with an RBI single in the fifth.…
