Cretin-Derham Hall knocks off Farmington in MSHSL boys basketball Class 4A quarterfinal
MINNEAPOLIS — The No. 5 Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders defeated the No. 4 Farmington Tigers 57-56 in the MSHSL Class 4A quarterfinals on Wednesday at Target Center. Cretin-Derham Hall led 31-28 at halftime thanks to 17 points from sophomore guard Joe Mitchell, who went 6-for-9 from the field and 4-of-5 from three. Farmington's ability to get to the free-throw line kept them in the game in the first half. The Tigers drew 11 personal fouls and shot 13 free throws to the Raiders four.
