Clifford Omoruyi transferring: 5 possible landing spots

UConn likely isn’t too focused on the transfer portal right now as it tries to win a second consecutive national championship, but it’s quite possible that the Huskies need a center by the time their season is said and done. Big men have thrived the last few seasons in Dan Hurley’s system as Adama Sanogo was a force in 2022-23, and he has given way to 7-foot-2 center Donovan Clingan who has developed into an NBA draft prospect. Omoruyi fits the same mold as those players as he isn’t a shooter, but he is more than capable in the pick-and-roll on offense and is a large presence in the paint on defense. Being able to stay on the East Coast while joining a team that will likely be a national title contender again could be enticing for Omoruyi.
