03/21/2024 | 4:31:00 | Football CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Southern Illinois football program held its first spring ball practice of the 2024 season on Thursday morning. The team will have 15 spring practices, including the annnual Spring Game on Saturday, April 20 at 12 p.m. For the first time in three years, there will be an open competition for the quarterback position, as the school's career passing leader, Nic Baker, has graduated.
