Cal Lands Commitment From Former Ivy League Defensive Player Of The Year
Former Princeton linebacker Liam Johnson announced his commitment to Cal on Friday. The 6-foot, 225-pound linebacker will have one season of eligibility remaining for the Golden Bears. Johnson is a two-time first-team All-Ivy selection and was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. He helped lead Princeton to the Ivy League championship in 2021. Over three seasons, Johnson recorded 177 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, seven pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
