SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After putting together a record-shattering indoor season, distance runner Abraham Chelangam earned Summit League Indoor Track and Field Men's Track Athlete of the Year honors, League officials announced Friday. The award recipients were selected for the honor by vote from the League's head coaches. The voting was based on the student-athletes' respective performances throughout the 2023-24 indoor season. The Kampala, Uganda native became the first Golden Eagle since Omeiza Akerele in 2017-18 to be named as the Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
