Edwards cards 69 in first round at Jekyll Island Collegiate

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sophomore Colin Edwards carded a two-under par 69 and sophomore Elias Becker posted an even-par 71 for Sewanee men’s golf in the first round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate on Friday at King and Prince Golf Course in St. Simons Island, Ga. The Tigers are tied for fourth among 30 teams though four clubs did not complete their rounds because of darkness. Sewanee’s team score of 292 on Friday stands just three shots from second place.
