Yendell Records Highest NCAA Finish Since 2017

ATHENS, Ga. – Sophie Yendell finished 17th overall in the 100 Fly prelims with a time of 51.35, just missing the cutoff to make the final event at the 2024 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Gabrielsen Natatorium, Friday morning. The finish is the highest finish at the NCAA Championship from a Pitt women's swimmer since Lina Rathsack scored and earned Honorable Mention All-American status in the 100 Breast in 2017. Yendell holds two of the three highest NCAA finishes in the last seven years, as she also finished 18th in the 50 Free at the 2023 NCAA Championships....
