Barendse Leads New Orleans with Singles Win Despite Loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The New Orleans Privateers women’s tennis team contested several matches and Laurie Barendse scored a win over a former Conference Player of the Year in a 6-1 loss to the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Saturday afternoon. The ladies put up a battle on several courts and Barendse won her singles match but the Islanders prevailed on the day as they won two other singles matches that went three sets on Saturday afternoon.
