Cincinnati Suffers Defeat to No. 6 James Madison
CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati lacrosse team fell to sixth-ranked James Madison, 19-8, on Saturday at Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats held a 6-5 lead with six minutes remaining in the second quarter after senior attacker Lauren Ottensmeyer scored three straight goals and classmate Elizabeth Murphy added one of her own. The Dukes roared back, however, scoring seven consecutive goals en route to its third straight victory in the series. Cincinnati dropped to 8-4 overall and 1-1 in the American, while James Madison improved to 8-2 and 2-0 in the league.
