Goodell inches closer to Grinnell school record in steeplechase at San Marcos meet
Results SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Brian Goodell ’24 inched closer to the Grinnell College men’s outdoor track and field record in the 3000-meter steeplechase Friday at the Mangrum Invitational. Goodell ran the race at Cal State San Marcos in a personal-best time of 9 minutes, 9.48 seconds, putting him just 1.12 seconds off the school record set in 2001. He placed sixth in the race. Tyler Ching ’26 also competed in the steeplechase, running 10:48.63. Grinnell had multiple entries in the 5000 and was led by Bradley Ramsey ’24, who finished in 15:11.32.
