Women’s Rowing Clocks Fast Times in Maryland

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Racing against some of the top crews in the nation, the Pacific Lutheran University women’s rowing team didn’t disappoint, turning in its fastest times of the season at the Washington College Invitational. The Lutes’ second varsity eight set the tone, gliding down the 2,000-meter course on the Chester River in seven minutes, 53.15 seconds to place fifth overall in their heat that included two boats from third-ranked and two-time defending national champion Wellesley College.
