Hastings, Stewart Secure Events At Penn In Outdoor Opener

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Cornell women's track and field team opened up the outdoor campaign at the Penn Challenge on Saturday. Avery Hastings (hammer throw) and Charli Stewart (shot put) earned victories in their respective events, along with a 4x100 title. Hastings had a great outing, as she recorded her personal-best (48.80 meters) in the hammer throw to seal the victory. Her throws counterpart Stewart would also earn a victory on the day due to her 13.82 shot-put toss.
