Howard University Women’s Track & Field Impresses at Bob Davidson Team Challenge
HIGH POINT, N.C. (March 23, 2024) – Howard University women’s track & field grabbed fourth place at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge, hosted by High Point University, after tallying 95 points in the two-day event. In the field, sophomore Ija Mumford (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) took part in the long jump where they placed first (5.96 meters) and sixth (5.50 meters), respectively. Both Bison also competed in the triple jump with Armstrong winning the event (12.02 meters) and Mumford taking third (11.83 meters).
