Outdoor Opener Held at Murray State
MURRAY, Ky. – Saint Louis' outdoor track and field squads competed in its first outdoor meet of the season this weekend, the Margaret Simmons Invitational hosted by Murray State University. Several Billikens earned top three finishes in their respective events. Most notably, Samantha Kunza won the hammer throw and broke the school record in the process, tossing 65.93 meters. SLU Academic Coordinator and former Billiken thrower, Jasmine Jefko, had the previous school record of 49.49 meters, which she set in 2018.
