PREP SOFTBALL: East goes 1-1 against Thunder Basin

CHEYENNE – Cheyenne East junior Aleah Brooks went 5-for-5 from the plate in the Thunderbirds' conference matchup with Thunder Basin on Saturday to help lead the team to a 17-8 win. East outscored Thunder Basin 13-3 over the final three innings of play. Brooks hit two home runs and recorded seven RBI in the game. Lillian Vallejo pitched five innings for the T-Birds, allowing just nine hits. She also went 3-for-4 from the plate.
