St. Thomas Track & Field Shines at Season Opener with Record-Breaking Performances

HOUSTON — The small contingent that traveled to Houston for the Victor Lopez Classic completed a successful outdoor season opener for St. Thomas Track & Field as both the men’s and women’s programs saw a record broken. Jack Rosner set the new program record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.21 seconds, breaking the previous mark set by Carter Maack in 2022 by 0.21. Rosner won the event Saturday as one of three top five finishes for the Tommies’ four participating student-athletes that totaled four top 15 marks in program history.
