MELBOURNE, Florida (March 25, 2024) - The Sunshine State Conference announced their weekly award winners for the week of March 18-24 on Monday afternoon, with Lily Thornewill being named Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Thornewill set career-highs in both ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (6) in Saturday's 14-10 win over No. 19 Florida Tech, the Tars' only contest of the week.
