POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam men’s lacrosse players Peyton Walsh (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and Saka Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) have claimed both men’s lacrosse weekly honors for the State University of New York Athletic Conference for the week ending March 24. Walsh repeats as the conference’s offensive athlete of the week and Thompson earned his second defensive athlete of the week honor of the season. Walsh, a graduate student, registered 19 points on 11 goals and eight assists in two victories for Potsdam this week. He scored a career-high seven goals in a 16-2 win over Canton on Tuesday night.
