Sophomore guard Luca Baratta (Richboro, Pa./Perkiomen School) and junior guard Colin Merriman (Mount Laurel, N.J./Camden Catholic) of The University of Scranton men’s basketball team notched College Sports Communicators’ (CSC) Academic All-District honors as released by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first career Academic All-District honor for both student-athletes. Academic All-District recognizes student-athletes for their performance both on the field and in the classroom and must hold a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA while competing in at least 90% of games/matches or starting 66%.
