Madeline Gentry named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s tennis

Michael Hudson Photography 3/26/2024 4:27:00 PM Naperville, Ill. — After helping lead the Thunder to a non-conference victory over Illinois Institute of Technology on Friday night, Wheaton sophomore Madeline Gentry has been recognized as a CCIW Co-Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s tennis. This marks Gentry’s second weekly conference honor this season and third overall after earning the accolade in September of 2023 and September 2022. The sophomore from Hudson, Illinois earned a 6-2, 6-4 straight-set win over her IIT opponent at #1 singles to lead Wheaton in a 9-0 sweep over the Scarlet Hawks last Friday. Gentry currently owns…
