George Mason Women's Volleyball Head Coach Megan Bachmann has announced that Peyton Ehmke '22, a former player, will return to the Patriots volleyball program as an assistant coach. Ehmke's extensive knowledge of the university and her deep-rooted love for the program make her a perfect fit for the position, according to Bachmann. Ehmke's experience and enthusiasm are expected to contribute significantly as a recruiter, coach, and program ambassador. She played 127 matches, was named to the A-10 All-Rookie team in 2018, and led the A-10 in total blocks and blocks per set in her final season as a player at Mason. After serving as the Patriots' graduate assistant, Ehmke joined the Davidson College women's volleyball staff, where she worked primarily with the team's middles and opposites with a focus on offense and blocking. She is excited to be back at Mason, expressing her understanding of what it means to be a Patriot and her anticipation for success alongside the players and staff.
