BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Christian Brothers University baseball player Jalen Smith has been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office, on Tuesday. This marks the first GSC Freshman of the Week honor for Smith. The Tampa, Fla. native earned the honor after hitting .421 (8-for-19) with a double, three homeruns, and nine RBIs through four games.
