Chico State's women's basketball team members Brandy Huffhines and Makenzi Laporte have been named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® team for their outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom. They are among a select few to advance to the national ballot for the CSC Academic All-America ® program, with the honorees set to be announced on April 16. To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and meet specific participation criteria.
