WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon College utilized late-inning scoring to clip the University of New England in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) softball doubleheader, 6-5 and 11-7, on Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 27). The Fighting Scots (6-12, 2-0 CCC) overcame a 5-3 deficit in the latter stages of the opener, and then plated six in the bottom of the 6th to break up a tied contest in the nightcap. The Nor’easters slip to 3-9 overall (0-2 CCC) ahead of Monday’s (3 p.m.) non-league twinbill versus the University of Maine-Farmington.
