Neenah's Allie Ziebell has been named the 2023-24 Gatorade Wisconsin girls basketball player of the year, marking her second consecutive win of the prestigious award. The 6-foot guard, who is also a McDonald’s All-American and the Fox Valley Association player of the year, achieved this honor after averaging 27.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game for the Neenah Rockets. She led the team to a 24-6 overall record and a Division 1 state championship game appearance, scoring 75 points in two state tournament games at the Resch Center. Ziebell finished her high school career with 2,819 points, ranking fourth in state history. She will continue her basketball journey at the University of Connecticut. The Gatorade player of the year program recognizes one winner in each state and the District of Columbia, and awards one national player of the year in each sport. Ziebell also received a grant to donate to a social impact partner as part of the award.
