Freeman played for the Milwaukee Panthers the last two seasons after spending his freshman year of college basketball at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. That followed a strong high school career in North Carolina for Freeman at Clayton and Moravian Prep.
Although Freeman wasn’t heavily recruited out of high school, he is likely to be highly sought after in the transfer portal after proving his elite scoring ability at UW-Milwaukee where he became a second-team All-Horizon League player in back-to-back years.
In 2023-24, Freeman averaged 21.1 points which was the 16th-best mark among Division I players. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound shooting guard also posted 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the Panthers while shooting 42.2% from the field and 35.1% from 3-point range.
A move to a high-major program seems likely this offseason for Freeman, who also plans to test the NBA draft waters in the coming weeks. Here are five potential landing spots for the talented guard if he returns to college basketball next season.
