Jason Edwards enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

DENTON, Texas (BVM) – Jason Edwards has entered the transfer portal following a special season at North Texas where he was named a first-team All-AAC player.

The Georgia native starred at Parkview High School before beginning his collegiate career at the JUCO level with Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Last year, he earned the opportunity to move up to the Division I level and has taken full advantage of his opportunity with the Mean Green.

Edwards averaged 19.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists this season, shooting 42.5% from the field and 35% from 3-point range. The 6-foot-guard only got better as the season went on, putting up five 30-point efforts during conference play.

Edwards’ proven scoring ability at the D-I level should make the sophomore guard an intriguing option in the transfer portal. Here are five programs he could be playing for next season.
