Women’s Tennis Swarms Ferrum, Falls to Sweet Briar in Pair of ODAC Matches

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Shenandoah University women’s team split a pair of ODAC matches, hosted by Sweet Briar Collge, on Friday afternoon against Ferrum College and the host school. The Hornets (4-6, 2-2 ODAC) blanked the Panthers (0-9, 0-6), 5-0, before losing to the No. 49 Vixens (13-1, 5-0), 8-1. The Hornets’ three doubles teams all picked up 8-0 wins. Olivia Guzzo and Tanea Spruill paired together on court one, Allison Cherwin and Ariella Stepleman were on court two, while Madison Shawver and Leigha Montrief rounded out the action on the third court.
