Brunner Finishes Third in Heptathlon, Earns Multiple First Place Finishes
03.30.24 WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Junior Aurielle Brunner finished her heptathlon debut in third place after winning multiple events. Her mark of 4261 currently sits seventh in the nation (could change with more results being finalized). On day two of competitions at the Tim Weaver Invitational, Brunner finished first in both the heptathlon long jump (5.58m) and 800m (2:29.91). In her only open event, the Altoona, Pa. native took first place in the triple jump with a distance of 11.58m. The Cougar’s next meet will be the Dave Labor Invitational in Slippery Rock, Pa. on Friday.
