Doubles sweep not enough as Men’s Tennis falls 5-4 to Carleton

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men’s tennis team had a strong start but ultimately suffered a defeat to Carleton College on Saturday, falling 5-4 to the visiting Knights. Coe got a perfect start in doubles action, sweeping the competition to jump ahead 3-0 in the match. The three pairings of Ivan Burt-Smith / Jumpei Kasai, Graham Peterson / Luke Doig and Grant Idoux / Bryton Short all picked up victories in the opening session of the match.
