Furman Pulls Away from Gardner-Webb in Big South Contest
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University women's lacrosse was bested in their Saturday afternoon Big South contest against Furman University by a final score of 21-9. Five different 'Dawgs combined for nine goals. Furman put up an early two goal lead in the first quarter before Brittany Sherrod and Jamie Weber tied the game for GWU. The 'Dawgs and Paladins exchanged goals again in the following minute with Aimie Perino scoring. Furman then opened things up scoring seven straight goals.
