Lakers edge Bears in overtime grudge match, 5-4
OSWEGO, N.Y.—Oswego State (5-3, 2-0 SUNYAC) scored with 11 seconds left in overtime to defeat the SUNY Potsdam men’s lacrosse team (6-3, 1-1) 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. Junior midfielder Drew Rose (Brasher Falls, N.Y./St. Lawrence Central) led the Bears with two goals and an assist. Sophomore goalie Saka Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) had another stellar day with 18 saves. Despite a strong defensive effort, Potsdam’s offense battled to keep pace with the Lakers.
