Men’s Volleyball Goes Toe-To-Toe With No. 2 Southern Virginia But Falls in Five Sets

NEWARK, NJ | The Rutgers-Newark men’s volleyball team went toe-to-toe this afternoon with No. 2 Southern Virginia University and fell in five sets, 3-2 (25-17, 25-20, 25-22, 25-19, 15-11) as part of Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) play. Rutgers-Newark (14-11. 3-5) handed SVU their most amount of losses in a match this season. Before today’s match, SVU had swept every opponent except a 3-1 win over Juniata.
