Outdoor Track and Field Sets Three New School Records to Close Carnegie Mellon Invitational
PITTSBURGH – Chatham had a record-setting day in the final two sessions of the Carnegie Mellon Invitational at Gesling Stadium. The three records broken were on the men’s side. In the 200m, freshman Justin Knox clocked a school-best time of 23.02. In the 400m, first-year Demetrius Broadnax surpassed Knox’s record set at the Stan Romanoski Open with a 53.21 finish. Lastly, freshman Rylan Henry set the discus throw record with a distance of 33.75m. For the women, sophomore Kayla Johnson finished 11th in the discus throw with an effort traveling 31.39m.
