Softball falls to Middlebury in NESCAC Doubleheader
MIDDLEBURY, VT. – The Wesleyan softball team fell in NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon as Middlebury College came away with a 8-1 game one win before winning game two with a 7-3 final score. The Panthers (9-5 overall, 2-0 NESCAC) picked up some early luck in the 3 rd inning after two scoreless opening innings, putting up four runs on the Cardinals (7-11 overall, 1-5 NESCAC). Samantha Hausman and Nina Schroeder scored for the Panthers on a fielders choice advancement and a third base throwing error.
