Women’s Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season with Win at the Saints Ice Breaker Meet

By: Caleb Philips, Director of Athletic Communications Meet Results CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women’s track and field team began their outdoor season on Saturday at the Saints Ice Breaker at St. Lawrence University, winning the meet and scoring 206 points. The Cards just edged St. Lawrence, who scored 194 points, as they had 18 top-three finishes on the day. Michaela Schaffer (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) led the way, jumping to two event wins in the long jump and triple jump.
